Blues Moon Radio returns for 29th year 28 August 2018

Sonny Boy "Red" Jackson and Clair DeLune warmly invite you to tune into the return of Blues Moon Radio on Aug. 28, 2018 as we kick off our 29th year as hosts.

Clair DeLune, a professor of Blues and Roots music history and the author of South Carolina Blues, brings you her curated mix of the very old, with a little bit of the best new Blues; a sprinkling of every spectrum and genre of Blues, and wraps it up in a themed bow that tells a story through the song titles; thus, becoming a bit of an puzzle (to discern the story she has woven into the playlist), a tuition-free mini-college course about the artists, a little bit of wry fun and wit that you can laugh along with; but mostly, a lovely evening of music entertainment that pays tribute to these amazing artists - many of whom are the uncut gems of forgotten Blues history whom you won't be familiar with.

We hope you will subscribe/follow our page here - and like us at Blues Moon Radio on Facebook and Twitter. Please consider a copy of South Carolina Blues as you fill your bookshelf, and plan your gifting ideas this season. Signed copies are available from the author and at Papa Jazz in Five Points - and you can pick up an unsigned copy online via Arcadia Publishing, Amazon, and in Walgreen's Drug stores in SC, Mast General Store, Uptown Books and Gifts and in some Barnes and Noble stores - and wherever fine books are sold.

We're excited! Mark your calendar and join us as we launch another great year of Blues History here on WUSC-FM - where Tuesday is Bluesday from 6-8 p.m.

Stay Blues!
