Lucky Duck Blues on Blues Moon Radio Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018

National Lame Duck Day is Feb. 6
The theme of Blues music is rarely built around the streak of good luck one has been having, but ... and you know this is true ... sometimes the Blues extols the virtues of things going right for a change, so because the very esoteric holiday calendar we uncovered in a dusty, musty attic contains some mundane dates, we were thrilled to learn that Feb. 6 continues the animal theme from last week's groundhog celebration and features the ever impotent, yet important, "Lame Duck."

So, we "dove deeply" into our lake of recordings and found many duck songs (but no duck calls), and we did a bit of a flip for the kickoff and will start out by changing Mr. Mallard's luck via the amazing artist Lucky Peterson!

Hence we will have the Lucky Duck show - and fill in with other titles that feature rhyming words with luck and duck - short one that the FCC will not allow, but yes... I have a few in the ribald section. Sorry - no can play - or perhaps I'm grateful! Nice to be nice, eh?

Enjoy the show... we are having buzzard's luck here with extreme connectivity problems, so I won't be assured of having a way to post playlists or announcements on FB until we figure out what is causing it (seems to be a program conflict with an auto update triggering it into death throes - it's really been quite a thing trying solutions - computer blues might not be the worst kind, but it's got a particularly vexing quality to the frustration and confusion it causes.

Playlist for Tuesday Feb 6 show will be below and the filler playlist is on last week's post. Thanks!
