On tonight's Blues Moon Radio show, we kick off with special guests:
Ken and Igor will drop in live to the WUSC-FM studio to provide us some local singer/songwriter flavor on Tuesday, 2/5 at 6 p.m. They are solo artists as well as a duo and are featured at so many wonderful events we thought that (even though they are not a Blues act) we would be remiss not giving them airtime on Blues Moon Radio with Clair DeLune - we are a Blues and Roots show, so this can be roots! Tune in and hear some recorded and live songs, and we'll chat for a wee bit with these two artists about their music, which can only be described as infinitely beautiful.

After they grace us with their charm, we'll spend a set to pay homage to New Orleans and Mardi Gras, then delve more deeply - a third time - into Chicago Blues - from 6:30-ish to 8 p.m. on Feb. 5, 2019. Our apologies to the Groundhogs of the world who work so hard predicting six more weeks of basketball. We'd promise to repay you next year for your tireless meteorological wondrousness, but we predict this is our last semester on the air. Unlike you, we could be wrong, but ... no promises.

Tonight's post-interview playlist:

Tune in - tell your pals,
Clair DeLune and Sonny Boy Red Jackson

Meet your Hosts:
Clair DeLune (at left): author of South Carolina Blues, longtime professor of Roots and Blues Music History and your host since 1990 of Blues Moon Radio; along with her valiant co-host since 2017, Sonny Boy Red Jackson (below, doing his best RCA Dog impression).

In the meantime, if you feel as if you need some great Blues music OR MY BOOK (which makes a great present, hint-hint-hint!)... don't forget our underwriters:

Our supporters:

As always we thank our long-time underwriters, who help bring great music to the Midlands all year around, because we could not imagine our show without their input and support:  Papa Jazz Record Shoppe, Word of Mouth Productions AND South Carolina Blues.
