RIP Bill Roberson - friend of Blues Moon Radio

Sorry to lose a fellow artist, friend and supporter of Blues Moon Radio...

My friends in the arts community will be saddened to hear that actor and stained glass artist, Bill Roberson, died yesterday, Nov. 19, 2017.

Bill Roberson, center, with Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump.
Bill and his wife, Hi, were supporters of Blues Moon Radio - in fact they were underwriters of the program this past summer for their art glass store on North Main (just south of the trestle), Classical Glass of SC Inc. where they made AMAZING art glass and taught almost everyone I know who makes stained art as a hobby.

Bill was in many films, but perhaps his most iconic "space in time" will always be remembered as the man on the bench in Savannah when Forrest Gump talks about life being like a box of chocolates.

We at WUSC and Blues Moon Radio thank him for his support of the show and the station, and extend our deepest sympathy to the many loved ones he leaves behind. He'll be missed by so many.

We know Bill was a fantastic character actor, but now he has a gleaming star in the pantheon of heaven.

Shine on, Bill!

As always we thank our long-time underwriters, who help bring great music to the Midlands all year around, because we could not imagine our show without their input and support:  Papa Jazz Record Shoppe, Word of Mouth Productions, South Carolina Blues AND Classical Glass of SC, INC. You can link to these orgs by clicking on the visuals...
