Carolina Downhome Blues Fest kicks off this week!

Carolina Downhome Blues Festival focus of Blues Moon Radio tonight

Blues Moon Radio will continue its focus on the 21st Carolina Downhome Blues Festival in Camden tonight on WUSC-FM Columbia (90.5 or stream at www.wusc.sc.edu) Tuesdays 6-8 p.m. ET/USA.

We will also feature Papa Jazz's Artist of the Month: Jimmy Reed.

Word of Mouth Productions is presenting its Artist of the Week: Freddie Vanderford, who is not only a veteran of their many festival shows in Martin Luther King Park, but a native South Carolinian.

Our South Carolina Artist of the Week, brought to you by South Carolina Blues on Arcadia Press, is Laurence "Luckyman" Beall, who is an adopted Sandlapper, bringing us full circle to the artists who will be appearing live in Camden Oct. 5-7th at the Carolina Downhome Blues Festival, brought to you by the Kershaw Fine Arts Center, who bring so many great cultural experiences to the Midlands.

For the rest of our time, we'll play Blues from A-Z...

As always we also want to share our gratitude for our long-time underwriters, who help bring great music to the Midlands all year around, because we could not imagine our show without their input and support:  Papa Jazz Record Shoppe and Word of Mouth Productions. You can link to these orgs by clicking on the visuals...
