Tribute to Totality and the Eclipse in South Carolina 8/22/17 on Blues Moon Radio

We're not fans of totalitarianism, unless it is a total eclipse, like yesterday's fabulous heavenly display!

Hope no one hurt their eyes - and glad so many saw it. Spectacular. Awesome. Extraordinary. Stellar. All those words apply.

We have an actual Eclipse song to kick off our tribute, and since we are the Blues MOON radio show, we will be gracious and give our time to the sun, whom we managed to beat out yesterday for the first time in a while. Wait until 2024, baby, the MOON will blot out the sun again! ha!

So, here is the playlist for the main portion of the show:

We mentioned we have added to our furry co-host tribe last week... Let me introduce our Blues Trainee, Jax! He's fitting right in. Seems to enjoy harmonica music, so watch out - he could be a star. Might need a bigger sofa, though. He's bigger than I wanted, and protective, but sweet at all the times he should be. I'm proud to have him join us here in Blues Moon Radio-ville.

His help thus far consists of hitting the keyboard with his big ole paw and mucking up the works, but his elders will teach him restraint. Welcome JAX!
We are wrapping up our final summer show, and want to thank our underwriters...

We want to thank our underwriters for bringing us a great summer of Blues - Papa Jazz Record Shoppe - one of the longest running supporters of WUSC FM Columbia... our faithful friends at Word of Mouth Productions, who never let us get blue, just Blues! And we appreciate our summer support from Classical Glass of SC Inc., with Bill Roberson at the helm - long time listener and first time supporter. #grateful for the fabulous array of listener and community supporters.

If you'd like to support WUSC-FM, check out our resources page at www.wusc.sc.edu and click on underwriting. Target audiences and radio announcments work, and are a bargain! Keep great independent and alternative music in the Midlands and around the world. You do not have to be local to benefit.

6 p.m. tonight at www.wusc.sc.edu, then click LISTEN to stream; or 90.5 FM in Columbia SC... see you there!

As always we thank our long-time underwriters, who help bring great music to the Midlands all year around, because we could not imagine our show without their input and support:  Papa Jazz Record Shoppe and Word of Mouth Productions. You can link to these orgs by clicking on the visuals...
