Heart Burn Blues - Valentine's Day on Blues Moon Radio Feb. 14, 2017

Our annual Valentine's edition of Blues Moon Radio presents us with so many choices of themes and songs. This year, the show is actually on Valentine's Day itself, which means that those in the lovey-dovey stages of romance are going to be out celebrating, therefore, we suspect this year's edition is not for them ... not yet, anyway! Hey, in Blues, we don't always look on the bright side, right?

Tonight's show is celebrating Heart Burn Blues and pays tribute to those who are in the throes of heartache with the wrenching and burning that involves.

The playlist features Columbia, South Carolina's own Elliott and the Untouchables from their newest CD (which made its debut last fall on Blues Moon Radio) with "Heart Burn." They are our Word of Mouth Productions' Artist of the Week. You can find their music at Papa Jazz Record Shoppe on Greene Street near Saluda in Five Points.

We will play songs of love and lament; of joy - then misery; of mystery and consternation; of having one's heart lifted up only to be dashed on the rocky shores of romance gone wrong. Somehow, that seems to help the brokenhearted, so we're doing what we can to help you pick up your ticker, patch it up and get back into the world as close to new as possible.

You'll get through it - Rocky Dawg and I have faith in you. Have heart that one day you won't have heart burn. Most importantly in the curative process, stay resolute and use your head for a little while and not your heart - it helps to eat plenty of chocolate. The good news is that on V-Day, you have a one-day diet reprieve. #YouAreWelcome!

xoxo
Clair and Rocky
