Little bells are a jinglin', but little Johnny is on his way to the hoosegow... the tree us up, but spirits are down... every now and again there is a glimmer of Hope, but she's probably just sneaking a peek at what is in her stocking.

It's time again for that revered, venerated and celebrated event... the annual Christmas Blues show on WUSC FM, hosted for the past 25 Christmas seasons by Clair DeLune.

Tune in for the last two shows of the year and hear rare musical cuts that you probably never knew existed, along with some old chestnuts (not roasting on an open fire) by Blues, Roots and Soul artists you do know, such as Etta James and James Brown; then revel in newly rediscovered rarities by less mainstream Blues artists, such as Smokey Hogg.

Put another log on the fire, simmer some hot chocolate on the stove, put your jammies on (yes, the ones with the feet will do nicely this time of year) and let us spin some tunes you are unlikely to hear elsewhere - perhaps a little double-entendre Blues from Roosevelt Sykes and Butterbeans and Susie as you and your sweetie trim your tree?

It is my true joy to dedicate this show to you, our Blues Moon Radio listeners... I wish each of you a wonderful holiday season and thank you for tuning in for the 25th edition of Blues Moon Christmas - may the moon shine brightly upon you in 2015.

The playlists for these two weeks is below. We are especially pleased to feature new holiday music from Eric Selby - we're going to decide what cut to play in studio (there have to be some surprises, you know!) so be sure to check out his Web page if you'd like his holiday CD.

The show would not be complete without Drink Small's signature song, "Never Too Late to do Right."

Stay Bluesy!

Clair DeLune and RockyDawg, Blues Defender
