Blues Moon Radio – Oct 4, 2011

The first part of Blues Moon Radio tonight features some of the many artists who were born in the first half of the month of October. We'll commemorate those who are gone and celebrate our friends who are still with us - and wish them MANY more years. Thank you for the joy you give us through your amazing talent!

James Brewer Gospel Group - When the Saints Go Marching In
Albert Collins - Collins Shuffle
Billy Branch and Junior Wells - Broke and Hungry
Keb' Mo' - Dangerous Mood
Clarence Williams Blue Five with Sippie Wallace - Baby I Can't Use You No More
Wade Walton - Blues Stay Away from Me b/w Interview about paydays b/w Rock Me Mamma

We'll also be tempted by music from some of the 21 great acts who will be appearing this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Carolina Downhome Blues Festival <

Thanks again to our in-studio guest last week, Laurence "Luckyman" Beall, who will thrill you at the festival - and that is a Blues Moon "for sure" assurance! Give him a listen at www.laurencebeall.com - and don't forget these bands who will also be there, among many, many more! Wish we had time to hear from each band playing - don't miss this concert or you will have to take a flexibility class so you can kick your own... (sit-upon).
Comment below and let me know whom you liked best once the festival is over.

The King Bees - Carolina Bound
Frankie's Blues Mission - Five Long Years
Biscuit Miller - Willie D
Robert Lighthouse - Meet Me in the Bottom
Wanda Johnson - Blue Ain't Nothin' But a Color
Shrimp City Slim - I Forgot
Drink Small - Bishopville is My Hometown
Eddie C. Campbell - King of the Jungle
