"One of Blues Moon Radio's longest and most consistent favorite sons is Freddie Vanderford. From the first time BMR interviewed his early 90s band, The Shades, Blues Moon Radio has been captivated by every project Vanderford has done. Vanderford and Turner have been frequent musical guest artists in USC classes, including those taught by radio host and professor Clair DeLune, such as Blues History and Music of the Carolinas. Powerful, gritty and emotional, but with a sense of fun and celebration... ...that's what their music embodies. It's real. It's authentic. It's incredibly good."
