Matt Walsh interview on Tuesday, June 14, 2016

A special thanks to Matt Walsh for appearing on Blues Moon Radio on Tuesday, June 14th.

Matt Walsh talked about his new band, the Low Counts, said to sound "like Black Sabbath meets T-Model Ford", with a reviewer commenting, "I thought I was listening to four people!"

The Low Counts are a Rock-n-Roll guitar-drum duo and their original music is a hodge-podge of the all of the sounds that influence them the most. In the interview, Walsh talks about the current band and hearkened back to the days when he played solo, as well as times with Bob Margolin (who will be featured on an upcoming edition of the show) and Hubert Sumlin. If you missed the show, we do hope to upload a copy of the interview to our Blues Moon Radio YouTube channel sometime soon.

We also welcomed the lovely Ashleigh Lancaster who, as a staff member of One Columbia, is helping foster music and cultural awareness. The upcoming Make Music Columbia Festival from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. across Columbia on Tuesday, June 21st promises to be something to take "note" about!

Thank you to both my wonderful guests - we apologize for the after-the-fact post... we had a major storm and power outage, so... better late that never: playlists below...

There were a few extra songs not on the list above that we played at the tag end of the show - they came from "leftovers" from earlier playlists...

As always we thank our underwriters, who help bring great music to the Midlands, because we could not imagine our show without their input and support:  Papa Jazz Record Shoppe, the UU Coffeehouse and California Republic Stand Up Paddleboards in Leesville near Lake Murray.
