Tonight, on Blues Moon Radio (6 p.m. ET on wusc.sc.edu) we will have a couple of emphases.
One is to revisit the roots of Sonny Landreth's influences - his playing was inspired by these folks and, in turn, inspired us this past Saturday at the Word of Mouth Productions Blues Festival. Cuts one through six feature some of his influences including Johnny Winter, who has dazzled attendees at earlier WOMP Blues Fests.
We will also feature a Red White and Blue tribute to Veterans and the Armed Forces.
And, to close the show, there will be commemorative music from those born on this date.
