Blues Moon Radio Playlist and info Oct. 6. 2009

Good evening!

My apologies for the successive crashes of the station computer last week, which made it impossible to post the playlist. I don't even know what got played... how dependent on technology have I become? What? Pen and paper? Whussdat?

Anyway, hopefully this week we shall be cured of such horrors.

This week's Blues Moon radio show with Clair DeLune will focus on some great concerts (just past and upcoming), some Blues birthdays, and sadly... the passing of another Delta Bluesman, Sam Carr.

If you were in Camden this past weekend, you are warmly welcomed to share your thoughts in the comments section here - or via my Facebook page (see link at left or search out Clair DeLune - same pic as on this site, because apparently there is more than one of us - who knew? hee hee.).

I'd love to hear what acts you enjoyed the most. I'll pass along your compliments to Kristin, Gary and Danny, who worked VERY hard to bring us another incredible experience.

And don't forget to keep your calendar updated for another great festival (The Columbia Blues Festival) in Columbia on Oct. 17th from noon until 10 p.m.

Their Web site at: http://www.wordofmouthproductions.org/ has the lineup and artist info updated for your perusal.

Thanks, WOMP volunteers for all you do! I'm in awe of how you put on a world-class concert for no charge! Looking forward to seeing everyone - I missed my first one ever last year because of a funeral in the family.

I'm hoping tonight that the playlist function will be working - fingers crossed - so please keep refreshing for the updates as sets are posted throughout the show (6-8 p.m.). Tune into the show via http://wusc.sc.edu for streaming radio.

Playlist: Refresh often for updates!

Sam, the Blues marquee is darker now that you are gone. You were a backbone for the Blues beat.

Y'all head on down to Helena - and give a tip of the hat to Sam - for the Blues and Heritage Festival (formerly the King Biscuit Festival) this weekend if you can!
